| Mandatory Travel Insurance – All Foreign Visitors to Zanzibar |

The Government of Zanzibar has introduced a MANDATORY inbound travel insurance requirement for all foreigners visiting the Spice Islands of Zanzibar.
This insurance requirement is effective the 01st of October 2024 for all foreigners arriving into Zanzibar via its sea-ports and airports.
This MANDATORY inbound travel insurance must be acquired in advance of travel to Zanzibar and it is only available from The Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC)

PLEASE NOTE: Per the government notice, travelers arriving without a valid ZIC travel insurance risk being refused entry into Zanzibar at the immigration checkpoints.
