Your selection of August for your visit to Kenya is great, as it coincides with the majestic migration in the Maasai Mara, a spectacle not to be missed.
Please note that August represents the peak of the tourist season in the Mara due to the migration, resulting in higher tariffs during this period.
For your convenience, as you travel via Mombasa Airport for your Kenyan holiday, we are pleased to offer two safari options that seamlessly integrate with your coastal stay.
We would like to inform you that there are direct flights available from Mombasa, Malindi (in the Watamu area), or Diani, straight to the Maasai Mara airstrip.
Safari option 1
A climbs on the Maasai Mara National Reserve
2 nights safari from the Kenya Coast to Maasai Mara and back
We have the following options, subject to availability during the time of bookings:
The below rates are inclusive of the following:
Hotel pick up to the airport in Mombasa or Watamu
Airstrip transfers in Mara
2 nights park fees in Mara
Shared transport by the lodge open jeep
Sundowner – bush barbeque
Round trip flight from Mombasa or Malindi to Mara
2 game drive safaris per day or option of having full day safaris
2 nights accommodation on full board basis in safari lodge
AMREF Flying Doctor – Air Ambulance cover providing air and ground medical evacuation, if necessary, from safari destinations to Nairobi for treatment

Safari option 2
Complex Kenyan Safari
3-4 nights safari from the Kenya Coast to Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara and back.
If you are going for just 2 nights in Maasai Mara there is no point of driving another 5 hours from Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha, then another 2 hours to Nairobi to catch your flight back to Diani.
We would like to suggest you start with Lake Naivasha + Lake Nakuru then Maasai Mara and fly back from Mara to the coast. This will reduce the driving distance.
This second option will increase the cost of the adventure and will bring you a road experience by car, that can be a little tiring.
So, you fly out from Mombasa or Malindi to Nairobi.
Then you will travel by car on the way from Nairobi to the lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru.
From Nakuru you could have a short flight to Maasai Mara, then, after 2 nights stay in Mara you fly out from Maasai Mara to Mombasa / Diani.

Regarding the second option, please be aware that the cost calculation will require a full review of all flight options, road travel distances, and hotel availability in the lake’s region.
Should you opt for this alternative, we are prepared to proceed with the necessary arrangements. Please allow us a few days to finalize the details.
We would also like to highlight that accommodation is contingent upon the availability of luxury lodges, which are in high demand during the busy month of August.
