Singapore

Singapore is amazing from the moment you land. The best airport in the world for 7 years in a row, this is a destination by its self. Changi Airport of Singapore is not only Asia’s most important travel hub, but also a futuristic architectural site.

Our friends are happy to arrive!

Every single tourist arriving in Singapore wants to reach Marina area. Did you know that Singapore had in 2021 more than 44 Michelin-starred restaurants?

Singapore equals a luxurious modern lifestyle. From chic dining restaurants to thrilling recreational malls, Marina Bay embodies everything contemporary and extremely stylish.

Well, we chose to have street food. The Marina area is so vivid at night! We really enjoy this food. the first impression is always about the food. Off course the locals were not locals, but expats (to not say emigrants).

As we landed in the afternoon we had the first impact of Singapore walking in the Marina area. Here is very welcoming, people from everywhere eating street food, shooting photos of Marina Sand Bay famous hotel…then get a ride in the The Singapore Flyer.

Built over a period of 4 years (2005-2008), with a height of 165 meters, The Singapore Flyer is the largest Ferris wheel in the world, followed by the Star of Nanchang from China and the London Eye or the Millennium Wheel from London, UK.

Singapore is a hub for many cultures, religions, business men and ordinary people looking for a better life. Among them we try to blend in and enjoy this food paradise, thus all of this cultural diversity is evident in the cuisine.

When you reach Singapore you need to go up, on the 56 floor, in Marina Sand Bay hotel, for the Sky Sand Park. As to stay here was to expensive for our budget we only paid the ticket to get on the 360-degree observation deck perched right at the top of the 3 hotel towers, to have a view over the city.

On 57 level we could see the people taking selfies in the pool. The pool is only for the clients staying in the hotel.

At leats we’ve beed here, we can brag about having seen some of the best views in the world from Sands SkyPark® at Marina Bay Sands®

It was a rainy day, we were not too lucky on the views. So, we have a drink and leave to Sentosa.

We take the monorail to Sentosa Island. The main interest are the Universal Studios, as the kids in us want to play around!

The beach is clear, no one around, we can check out the naval activity, as Singapore is a commercial hub.

We get back in the evening. The show of greenery and lights should start soon. Technology and nature are combined to create a beautiful crown jewel in the middle of the city at 101 hectare Gardens by the Bay.

The Botanic Garden, Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the ideal location for a getaway with your special someone.

The Flower Dome in Bay South Gardens is the largest of three cooled conservatories, about 1.28 hectares, and in 2015 it set the record for the largest glass greenhouse in the world. It is home to plants and flowers from five different continents, including magnolias, orchids, olive trees and more…

Floral Fantasy, the second largest of the Gardens, welcomes you with sculptures and floral artwork that are inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Cloud Forest, the third conservatory in Gardens by the Bay, is a 35-meter-tall, mist-covered landscape with uncommon plants and breathtaking views.

Then, the rain is coming. The best way to hide is to go to the mall…Shopping around it’s a must! This shop was like a disco! I bought a green shirt, some sweets… more like window shopping!

We took the train to the world-famous Singapore Zoo.

Well, it’s not like in the movies. It’s open cavity design make you feel that the animals are kept in their natural habitat. In fact they are sedated, there are electric fens well hidden in the greenery, the animals look sleepy and sad, I did not like it!

It’s better to go in an african safari if you want to see wild animals. Check here the safari we took in Serengeti Park, Tanzania.

This is kind of it!
Our story is short, as we had only 3 days in Singapore and we did our best to see most of it, in our own rhythm.

We loves the cleanness, the mic of people, the great food, the transportation, the malls, and… is still have a green tee-shirt I bought in the Marina Mall.
